TMJD (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder)
For those with TMJD, it is not uncommon to experience pain or tenderness around the jaw joint and muscles of the head, neck and face. Sometimes opening and closing the jaw can be painful or limited and some patients can hear noises or feel popping in the joint. Understanding and properly diagnosing TMJ issues is key for proper treatment. Dr. Hall uses a variety of techniques for the treatment and management of TMJ issues including occlusal guards/bite splints, equilibration (bite alignment), and referral to physical therapists, oral surgeons, and orthodontists.
